ASES
The ASES/ELOP after school program is designed to support academic success, assist with homework, and provide fun and educational enrichment activities. All activities are coordinated with the regular school day so students can transition from their last class of the day into the program quickly.

ASES/ELOP runs from 3:30-6:00pm every school day. Students are expected to stay for the entire program hours. Exceptions may be made for students in parallel programs or with other obligations. Early release forms must be filled out and signed by a parent.
Eligibility & Applications:
Students interested in ASES/ELOP can participate if they are enrolled at AFCS during the regular school day and are in Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Enrollment in ASES is “first come, first served,” with priority enrollment given as follows:

Priority to students who are homeless or foster youth, Students who stay for the entire duration of each program day, who have maintained an 85% average attendance rate for the 2022-2023 school year, and who plan on attending for the entire duration of each program day for the 2023-2024 school year.

Second priority to students currently in the program and maintaining an 85% average attendance rate.

Third priority is given to new students who will stay for the entire program day for the 2023-2024 school year.

All other applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Enrollment in the program is for the duration of one school year. Students must fill out a new application and re-enroll each academic year.
Under California Education Code, students are expected to attend the program daily for the hours offered (until 6:00 p.m. each day). Students must maintain an average attendance rate of 85% to avoid being dropped.
